INCBA’s Webinar on Federal Hemp Legalization

Moran, LL.M. the founding principal of EARTH Law, LLC and chief legislative strategist for Agricultural Hemp Solutions, LLC and Cindy Sovine, founder of Sovine Consulting in this one-hour webinar that will provide detailed review of the federal regulatory framework of this new era of hemp legalization.

INCBA Board of Director Courtney N. Moran, LL.M. is the leading expert on hemp law championing legal policy for sustainable Cannabis hemp agribusiness development. She worked closely with the offices of Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) in drafting the Hemp Farming Act of 2018 (S. 2667), which was included in the 2018 federal Farm Bill, the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018providing for full federal hemp legalization.

Cindy Sovine has over 20 years of government relations experience in working on local, state and federal issues, successfully navigating ever-changing legislative, regulatory and political environments.

The program, Federal Hemp Legalization: 2018 Federal Farm Bill and Agency Regulation of Hempwill feature a detailed look at the Hemp Farming Act provisions included in the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 providing for full federal hemp legalization. The webinar will cover ongoing program implementation and regulation development by USDA and FDA. The program will also feature a review of the recent federal judicial victories of KaB, LLC v USPIS, MLB 18-39 (2018) and RNF, LLC vUSPIS, MLB 18-113 (2018) establishing precedent for the shipment of hemp through the US Postal Service.

InterNational Cannabis Bar Association is offering CLE credit for attendance of the live webinars for the states of California, Colorado, New York, and select other states based on attendee registration and NCBA policy. INCBA will offer support for attorneys seeking to obtain individual credit in additional states.
